The Shenandoah Raiders lost against the Monroe Central Golden Bears back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Shenandoah received a tough blow as they fell 43-24 to Monroe Central. Shenandoah has struggled against Monroe Central recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Kimber Abshear, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds for Monroe Central. Abshear hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Puckett, who scored 11 points.
Shenandoah now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Monroe Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Shenandoah will head out on the road to face off against Muncie Burris at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monroe Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Yorktown is ranked 110th, while Monroe Central is ranked 125th).
