South Davidson is a perfect 3-0 against Leadership Academy since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The South Davidson Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Leadership Academy Falcons at 6:00 p.m. South Davidson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

South Davidson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Salisbury, but they still couldn't quite topple them. South Davidson put the hurt on Salisbury with a sharp 20-5 win on Tuesday.

Payton Cook made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Genesis Argote was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Harleigh Russell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

South Davidson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salisbury only posted an OBP of .267.

Meanwhile, Leadership Academy came up short against Bethany Community on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

South Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

South Davidson beat Leadership Academy 4-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will South Davidson repeat their success, or does Leadership Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
