The Wardlaw Academy Patriots's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 36-32 victory over Richard Winn Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Wardlaw Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Lewis, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Meagan Brigman, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Wardlaw Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Richard Winn Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Wardlaw Academy will head out on the road to square off against Our Lady of the Rosary at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Our Lady of the Rosary comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Richard Winn Academy, they will be playing at home against Laurens Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Laurens Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.
