Erin Edmonds was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds and four steals for Hopewell. The contest was Edmonds' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of April Winfield, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meadowbrook's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.6 points per game. As for Hopewell, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Meadowbrook will be playing at home against Thomas Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Dale's defense has only allowed 23.5 points per game this season, so Meadowbrook's offense will have their work cut out for Meadowbrook. As for Hopewell, they will head out on the road to face off against Matoaca at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Matoaca is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
