Scioto Valley recap Oct. 30, 2012
Zane Trace's Dylan Scaggs recorded the longest rushing play in Scioto Valley this season in his game against Southeastern last week. Scaggs ran for 79 yards on the play and finished with 91 on the day as his team defeated the Panthers.
Westfall extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Huntington, 48-21. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Trent Chaffin was the best wideout in the league this week as Unioto lost to Paint Valley. Chaffin tallied one reception for 40 yards. Chad Taborn helped Unioto's passing attack out by catching one ball for 32 yards.
Brandon Henkle made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Shermans fell to the Bearcats. The senior grabbed two sacks.
Nate Mettler was the most productive running back in Scioto Valley this week. In nine carries, he ran for 167 yards as Zane Trace fell to Paint Valley.
Issac Brabson put up the best numbers through the air as Piketon beat Adena. He finished with 10 completions for 112 yards and one touchdown. Brabson's favorite target this week was Jeremy Farmer, who caught two passes for 33 yards.
The Redstreaks' Brabson and Colten William have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Brabson has thrown for 2046 yards this season, while William has 34 catches for 659 yards. Jerry Hudnell's team's John Vanderpool leads the league in rushing yards with 1182.
Westfall took down the Huntsmen 48-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
