For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Joshua and Seguin have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Owls never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Joshua's win bumped their record up to 12-7-1. As for Seguin, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Joshua has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Paschal on the 5th. As for Seguin, they will take on Burleson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Elks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
