The Dighton Hornets will stay at home for another game and welcome the Otis-Bison Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Dighton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Otis-Bison in Kansas (Dighton is ranked 52nd, while Otis-Bison is ranked 296th).
Last Saturday, Dighton earned a 44-32 victory over Quinter.
Dighton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Daniel Cramer, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Carson Shimer, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shimer has scored at least a third of Dighton's points.
Meanwhile, Otis-Bison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a rough 48-24 defeat at the hands of Minneapolis. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Otis-Bison has scored all season.
Dighton's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.36 points. As for Otis-Bison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Everything went Dighton's way against Otis-Bison in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Dighton made off with a 57-36 win. Will Dighton repeat their success, or does Otis-Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
