Salem Hills has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Timpview Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Salem Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Even though Spanish Fork scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Salem Hills still came out on top. Salem Hills slipped by the Dons 64-63. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Salem Hills did.
Chase Degraffenried continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Salem Hills' points. Aaron Hable was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Timpview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 54-47 to Springville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Timpview has scored all season.
Salem Hills' victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Timpview, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Salem Hills came up short against the Thunderbirds when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-50. Can Salem Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
