While losing is never fun, S & S Consolidated can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 973rd in Texas, while Colbert is ranked 36th in Oklahoma).
Despite the defeat, S & S Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: Joe Orr scored 27 points along with 3 steals. Orr scored a full 46.6% of S & S Consolidated's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Caiden Jones was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
S & S Consolidated's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Colbert, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
S & S Consolidated will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colbert, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Savanna at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
