The Dawson Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 75-64 victory over Clear Lake. The victory was nothing new for Dawson as they're now sitting on five straight.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jerrick Guidry, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Obert, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dawson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Clear Lake, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 11-7.
Dawson will be home for the holidays to greet Alief Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alief Hastings will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1079th, while Dawson is ranked 79th). As for Clear Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Clear Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clear Brook is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
