Westlake won the last time they faced Austin and things went their way on Friday too. The Westlake Chaparrals took their matchup with ease, bagging a 59-28 win over the Austin Maroons. The Chaparrals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Austin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jillian Shirk, who posted 11 points, and Cecilia Offor, who put up seven points.

Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Austin, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Westlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-54 victory against Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries on the 26th. As for Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-29 win against McNeil on the 27th.
