Penn Treaty gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Franklin Learning Center 64-34 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-14.
Penn Treaty was led to victory by Heavon Washington and Keyon Davis. Washington scored 16 points, while Davis scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nadir Hall, who scored 9 points.
Despite the defeat, Franklin Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: Kadeem Martin dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Penn Treaty's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Franklin Learning Center, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Treaty will face off against Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] at 3:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin Learning Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Nueva Esperanza at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
