Wayne were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday, as they fell 22-27 to Colfax-Mingo. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Wayne.
The loss dropped Wayne's record to 1-2. The win bumped Colfax-Mingo's record up to 3-0.
Next week Wayne take on Van Buren at 7:00 PM. Colfax-Mingo will be staying on the road, facing off against Lynnville-Sully.
