This season hasn't been kind to the Clio Mustangs, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. Their rough 73-53 loss to Bendle on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Clio can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Bendle is ranked 71st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bendle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malik Neal, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The match was Neal's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Malis Firman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Clio's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Bendle, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Clio will head out on the road to face off against Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brandon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Bendle will be home for the holidays to greet Beecher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
