Baseball Recap: Illini Bluffs Wins Going Away Against Peoria

While Illini Bluffs put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Peoria. Illini Bluffs blew past Peoria 28-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Morgan Patterson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Patterson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Illini Bluffs let Easton Snyder and Justis Dugger run wild. Snyder scored two runs while going 1-for-1, while Dugger scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. What's more, Dugger posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole McCoy, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Illini Bluffs' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Illini Bluffs will challenge Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Peoria, they will head out to face off against Peoria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
