Football Recap: Grant Addison Key Part of Team Effort in Wolverines Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Walker, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Utopian Academy for the Arts on Friday. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Utopian Academy for the Arts, too.

Walker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Addison led the charge by picking up 104 receiving yards and two TDs. That's the most receiving touchdowns Addison has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Teague Tatom, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one score.

Walker didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Utopian Academy for the Arts to a completion percentage of just 40.7%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Addison, Tatom, and Lyndon Davison, who each logged one passes deflected. Walker wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 52.2%.

When it comes to explaining why Utopian Academy for the Arts lost, don't look at Khalif Morgan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 154 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (88 yards to be exact) went to Nymari Elliott.

The win got Walker back to even at 1-1. As for Utopian Academy for the Arts, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Walker didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-34 victory against Dominion Christian on the 29th. Utopian Academy for the Arts has also already played their next game (against Forest Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
