Jace Spencer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden Wong, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Fife, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
On Fife's side, Killian Allen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Allen was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Carter Christiansen and Miles Ducharme did most of the damage at the plate: Christiansen went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Ducharme went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That triple was Christiansen's first of the season. Traysen Guymon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Coming up, Washington will square off against Eatonville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fife, they will face off against Auburn Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.8, the Ravens 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
