Neuse Charter is 8-2 against the Rebels since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Neuse Charter Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the North Duplin Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Neuse Charter is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
A well-balanced attack led Neuse Charter over the Spartans in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Neuse Charter blew the Spartans out of the water with a 79-29 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-17.
Jayvin Bradley was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Atkinson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, North Duplin entered their tilt with the Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. North Duplin came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 58-46 on Tuesday.
Neuse Charter's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for North Duplin, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Neuse Charter strolled past the Rebels in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 64-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neuse Charter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
