Rosman is 0-6 against Mountain Heritage since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rosman Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Mountain Heritage Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Rosman will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Rosman beat Avery County 61-51.
Rosman relied on the efforts of Lexi Powell (sykes), who scored 22 points, and Alissa Cheek, who scored 25 points. The match was Powell (sykes)'s fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marlee Carnathan, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Mountain Heritage fought the good fight in their overtime game against Watauga on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. Mountain Heritage has struggled against Watauga recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Rosman's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mountain Heritage, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
