Meanwhile, Mount Carmel made easy work of Milton on Friday and carried off a 48-28 victory. The result was nothing new for the RED TORNADOES, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Cooper Karycki, who rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Balichik, who picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Mount Carmel didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Balichik.
Shamokin Area pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mount Carmel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
