After flying high against the Oakman Wildcats last Tuesday, the Addison Bulldogs came back down to earth. Addison took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winston County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Addison in their matchups with Winston County: they've now lost three in a row.
Lynleigh Cobb was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds for Winston County. Cobb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lizzy Bass was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Addison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Winston County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Addison won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Bernard Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Winston County, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Carbon Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Carbon Hill is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
