The St. Michael Warriors will head out to take on the Brusly Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. Michael's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against McKinley as they made off with a 23-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four games in a row.
Piper Jones made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on McKenzie McLeod, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Natalie Rahm was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
St. Michael was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .778. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Saturday. Brusly put the hurt on Buckeye with a sharp 9-1 win.
Abigail Heidbrink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
At the plate, Tinley Loupe was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of LillyRose Albarez, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
St. Michael's record now sits at 7-1. As for Brusly, their record is now 12-3.
St. Michael suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Brusly when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
