In other batting news, Mackenzie Schumaker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Arielle Corbett, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.
Meanwhile, Chautauqua Lake took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against Randolph as they made off with a 13-3 win.
