In what's become a running theme this season, the Perryville Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 57-30 win over Elkton at home. The victory was just what Perryville needed coming off of a 80-53 defeat in their prior contest.
Elkton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayla Payne, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of LeeAnn Pugh, who scored eight points.
Perryville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Elkton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12.
Perryville will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkton, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
