Kettering is 2-8 against South Lyon East since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kettering Captains will head out on the road to face off against the South Lyon East Cougars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kettering's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Kettering pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-57 to South Lyon. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kettering in their matchups with South Lyon: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Kettering got a solid performance out of Nathan Bisnett, who scored 18 points. The match was Bisnett's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jarrell, who scored 7 points along with 10 assists and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, even though Pinckney scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, South Lyon East still came out on top. South Lyon East secured a 60-56 W over Pinckney. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Lyon East.
With Kettering's win and South Lyon's defeat, both teams now sport identical 1-2 records.
Kettering came up short against South Lyon East in their previous matchup back in March, falling 65-52. Can Kettering avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
