The St. Marys Blue Devils won against the Ravenswood Red Devils last Friday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. St. Marys took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 46-6 victory over Ravenswood. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
St. Marys' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Boron, who rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Boron has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Josiah Demoss was another key contributor, rushing for 45 yards and four touchdowns.
St. Marys' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Calhoun and 1-9 Ravenswood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 20.8% over those games). As for Ravenswood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
St. Marys will be playing in front of their home fans against East Hardy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Hardy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Ravenswood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
