Having just played yesterday, The Master's Academy Lions will jump right back in to play the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Monday, The Master's Academy might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Lake Lure Classical Academy an easy 73-51 victory. While losing is never fun, The Master's Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Lake Lure Classical Academy is ranked 164th).
Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson humbled Pinnacle Classical Academy with a 79-46 victory. That 79-46 margin sets a new team best for Thomas Jefferson this season.
The Master's Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Thomas Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
The Master's Academy was dealt a bruising 76-42 loss at the hands of Thomas Jefferson when the teams last played back in November of 2021. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point The Master's Academy was down 33-13.
