Saint Francis put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs  and snuck past  10-8.   Kate Munnerlyn made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 17 batters over  9.2 innings while giving up  four earned runs off   seven  hits. Munnerlyn has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than seven  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Munnerlyn was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Rebecca Quinn was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.  Jaime Oakland was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
 On Archbishop Mitty's side,  Corri Hicks was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lindsey Miller, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Saint Francis pushed their record up to 15-0 with that  victory, which was their 21st straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Archbishop Mitty,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-3.
 Saint Francis will be playing in front of their home fans against Salinas at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last four games Salinas has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Archbishop Mitty, they will head out on the road to  square off against  St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Archbishop Mitty is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
