The La Marque Cougars had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past CHSA HomeSchool with points to spare, taking the game 45-30.
The last time La Marque lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won four straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 4-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for CHSA HomeSchool, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
La Marque will head out on the road to face off against Brazosport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brazosport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday. As for CHSA HomeSchool, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Brazosport Christian at 3:00 p.m. Brazosport Christian's defense has only allowed 23.1 points per game this season, so CHSA HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for CHSA HomeSchool.
