Clinton has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Emerald Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Clinton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Vikings in South Carolina (the Red Devils are ranked 103rd, while the Vikings are ranked 231st).
Last Tuesday, Clinton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Wolverines, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win.
Clinton relied on the efforts of Devin Swindler, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, and Tushawan Richardson, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Henderson, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Emerald came up short against the Yellowjackets on Friday and fell 49-38. Emerald has not had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Emerald, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Everything went Clinton's way against the Vikings in their previous meeting back in January as the Red Devils made off with a 65-44 victory. Does Clinton have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
