The Choctawhatchee Indians will face off against the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Choctawhatchee will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Choctawhatchee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Baker County a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Trevor Camden made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Camden was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Blake Peters was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddox Gentry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Choctawhatchee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baker County only posted a batting average of .083.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, St. Augustine made sure to put some runs up on the board against Arnold on Friday. The Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Marlins by a score of 10-6.
The team relied heavily on Josiah Vargas, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Caiden Smith was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
St. Augustine's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Choctawhatchee, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
St. Augustine's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Choctawhatchee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. It's a different story for St. Augustine, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain Choctawhatchee's hitters?
Choctawhatchee came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Augustine in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 12-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
