Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Travis). They came out on top against the Cypress Lakes Spartans by a score of 67-55 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-41 back in November of 2024.

Fort Bend Travis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mitchelle Okwueze led the charge by putting up 11 points along with eight boards and three steals. Okwueze is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Mackenzie Teuton was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 13 points.

Fort Bend Travis has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Cypress Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.

Fort Bend Travis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-15 win against Porter on the 28th. As for Cypress Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-30 victory against Jersey Village on the 28th.
