The North Paulding Wolfpack will head out on the road to face off against the Grayson Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Paulding comes in on three and Grayson on five.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Paulding walked away with it. They skirted past East Coweta 22-19.
North Paulding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Clayton out in front who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Meanwhile, Grayson was able to grind out a solid victory over Richmond Hill on Friday, taking the game 34-24.
Grayson's success was spearheaded by the efforts of John Cineas, who picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jeff Davis, who threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 9-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: North Paulding has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Grayson struggles in that department as they've been even better at 205.5 per game. It's looking like Friday's match might have some serious battles in the trenches.
