Palmetto Ridge got a massive performance out of Rebecca Razzano, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Razzano a new career-high in triples. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Delashmet, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
Palmetto Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Estero started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Riverdale. They came up short against the Raiders on Tuesday, falling 20-8.
Ava Weinbaum was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Carlee Estrada was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Estero's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Palmetto Ridge, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.
Estero's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Palmetto Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game.
