Ponderosa is 8-2 against Placer since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ponderosa Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Placer Hillmen at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Nevada Union scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, Ponderosa still came out on top. Ponderosa managed a 71-67 victory over Nevada Union.
Marco Moorman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six assists and four steals. Lake Liebscher was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Placer put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oakmont 82-55 at home. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The win got Ponderosa back to even at 11-11. As for Placer, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
Things could have been worse for Ponderosa, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Placer in their previous matchup on January 9th. Can Ponderosa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
