Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside - Jacksonville). Everything went their way against the Dixon Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs made off with a 66-46 win. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 611th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northside - Jacksonville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reginald Gray III out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaliel Caraballo, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals.

Northside - Jacksonville was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dixon only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Dixon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grady Adams went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points. Adams continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Langston, who posted ten points.

Northside - Jacksonville's record now sits at 2-4. As for Dixon, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northside - Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 win against D.H. Conley on the 19th. As for Dixon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-45 loss against Lejeune on the 27th.
