Lorain has gone a perfect 4-0 against Maple Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Lorain's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last seven matches.
On Monday, Lorain got the win against Bedford by a conclusive 18-8. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by nine runs or more this season.
Olivia Charlton made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Lorain got a massive performance out of Alysandria Lighty, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave Lighty a new career-high. Alonna Coleman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Lorain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maple Heights). Everything went their way against Garfield Heights on Monday as they made off with a 31-7 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Lorain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. Maple Heights' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Lorain took their win against Maple Heights in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 17-2 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
