Kyla Dewitt and Autumn Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Dewitt pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Miller struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Dewitt has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Dewitt scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Miller went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Dewitt also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Neveah Medina was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cameron Bork, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Iroquois West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, LeRoy had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Monday. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The two-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
LeRoy pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Iroquois West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Iroquois West might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from LeRoy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
