The Craigmont Chiefs lost against the Brighton Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Craigmont ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-29 walloping at the hands of the Cardinals. Craigmont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mariah Koss had an outrageously good game for Brighton as she scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Koss has scored all season. Destiny Pruitt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Craigmont has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Brighton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15.
Craigmont won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millington Central is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
