Northwest will take on Port Barre at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Northwest have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Northwest didn't have too much trouble with Church Point last Friday as they won 44-28.
Meanwhile, we expected Port Barre to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Eunice, and they did. Port Barre found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-30 punch to the gut against Eunice. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Port Barre.
Northwest's win lifted them to 4-2 while Port Barre's loss dropped them down to 2-4. We'll find out if Northwest can add another positive mark to their record or if Port Barre can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Northwest's step.
