The Reagan County Owls suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Christoval at home and fell 44-10. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reagan County has scored all season.
Halle Hughes was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four steals for Christoval. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hughes has scored at least a third of Christoval's points. Another player making a difference was Madyson George, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Reagan County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Christoval, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.
Reagan County will head out on the road to challenge Sterling City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christoval, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Forsan at 6:15 p.m. Forsan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 753rd, while Christoval is ranked 304th).
