The East Side Red Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the East Orange Campus Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. East Side is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
East Side will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Newark Central on Wednesday. The Red Raiders blew past the Blue Devils 11-1. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

East Side let Johansel Santana and Edwin Fajardo run wild. Santana got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Fajardo went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, Santana is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Christian Torres was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, East Orange Campus scored first but ultimately less than Golda Och Academy in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 9-5 to Golda Och Academy.
Tiger Disla put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Disla was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Adrian Guevara made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nelio Ventura, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
East Side pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Orange Campus, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
East Orange Campus' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Side has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .505. It's a different story for East Orange Campus, though, as they've only averaged .350. Will they be able to contain East Side's hitters?
East Side took their victory against East Orange Campus in their previous matchup on April 7th by a conclusive 21-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
