Kohelet Yeshiva waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Girard College 65-35 at home. Kohelet Yeshiva might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kohelet Yeshiva to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asher Kahlon, who scored 16 points. The contest was Kahlon's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Daniel Benjamini was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Kohelet Yeshiva's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Girard College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kohelet Yeshiva won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mercy Career & Technical at 4:30 p.m. on December 21st. One thing working in Mercy Career & Technical's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Girard College will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Foundation Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
