The Stuart W. Cramer Storm will head out on the road to face off against the Shelby Golden Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Shelby will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Stuart W. Cramer extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Storm took their matchup with ease, bagging a 70-0 victory over Highland Tech. While the Storm didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Clee Phillips produced another solid effort throwing for 102 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 71 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. JJ Alexander was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one score on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stuart W. Cramer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Stuart W. Cramer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Landon Lee led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, while Shelby put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Cherryville. The Golden Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ironmen 62-0. The win continues a trend for the Golden Lions in their matchups with the Ironmen: they've now won five in a row.
Stuart W. Cramer better keep an eye on Lan Farmer. He was instrumental in Shelby's win, throwing for 261 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Tate, who rushed for 93 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.
Stuart W. Cramer's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Shelby, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Stuart W. Cramer has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177 rushing yards per game.
