American Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fox Creek Predators. Even though they lost, the Patriots' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

American Leadership Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Miles, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryce Newton, who posted 15 points and five boards.

Fox Creek found their leader in sophomore Kobe Sims, who put up 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sims has scored all season. Brelan Baskett was another key player, putting up ten points.

American Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fox Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

American Leadership Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-77 defeat against North on the 16th. As for Fox Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-50 loss against Grovetown on the 14th.
