The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars are on the road again on Friday and play against the Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. Hopefully Middle Tennessee Christian is not getting complacent, as they comes into the match much higher ranked than Providence Christian Academy in Tennessee (Middle Tennessee Christian is ranked 74th, while Providence Christian Academy is ranked 260th).
After only six points in their last game, Middle Tennessee Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against King's Academy on Friday. Middle Tennessee Christian simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat King's Academy 47-7 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.
Middle Tennessee Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Yates Geren out in front who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Geren's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Shy Murphy was another key contributor, rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy beat Ezell-Harding Christian 16-9 two weeks ago.
Their wins bumped Middle Tennessee Christian to 7-1 and Providence Christian Academy to 4-4.
