The Mountain View Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Cedar scored an imposing 55 points on Monday, Mountain View still came out on top. Mountain View secured a 61-55 W over Cedar. That 61-55 margin sets a new team best for Mountain View this season.
Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Conner Fairbanks led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Fairbanks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Mella, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Cedar Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Hillcrest on Friday, taking the game 57-46.
The win makes it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Cedar Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Mountain View suffered a grim 92-66 defeat to Cedar Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Mountain View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
