The Geneva Panthers lost against the Montgomery Academy Eagles back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Geneva was beaten by Montgomery Academy 55-24. Geneva was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.
Leading Montgomery Academy to victory were D.j. Vinson and Parker Cook. Vinson picked up 276 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Cook threw for 377 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Vinson's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards. Jarrett Friendly was in the mix as well, providing Montgomery Academy with two touchdowns.
Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Montgomery Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bibb County at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. One thing working in Bibb County's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games.
