Football Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Skates Past Hebron Christian with Ease

Heritage Christian Academy faced Hebron Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors breezed past the Eagles to the tune of 50-0. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Boston Laursen was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards and one score.all of that, rushing production came thanks to one massive run Tyler Bush was in the mix too, providing Heritage Christian Academy with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Heritage Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Heritage Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Bush.

Heritage Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Hebron Christian, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Heritage Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tensas Academy at 7:00 p.m. The Warriors will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hebron Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Columbus Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the rams have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
