Landon Payton posted a new career-high in stolen bases on Tuesday. He scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Coosa Valley Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-15 otherwise.

Payton's strong effort led Coosa Valley Academy over Cornerstone Christian and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
